It is almost as if you are hanging up a little cottage house with a light in it giving it a room inside of a room appearance. I build these using thicker copper than the originals which tends to give better shaped hammer blows resulting in better patinas. The pyramidal roof is hand raised and so are the backplates. Custom backplates for sconces or hanging pendants are available. The loop on the top of the lantern is hand forged from solid copper. These loops are tough to make but produce a look that cast brass loops don’t have. Hand made pyramidal screws are used for attachment . These lanterns can be used as sconces, hanging pendants,or as lanterns in chandelier.
